The QBI Laboratory has been officially authorized by the local Chamber of Commerce to perform the metrological Periodic Verification of:
- Non Automatic Weighing Instruments, accuracy Class I, capacities up to 30 kg
- Non Automatic Weighing Instruments, accuracy Classes II, III, IIII, capacities up to 150000 kg
- Automatic Weighing Instruments with maximum capacity up to 5000 kg
- Weighing Instruments for railway wagons in motion with maximum capacity up to 150000 kg
- Verification weights with nominal capacities from 1g to 2000 kg
Within the Italian territory the Periodic Verification can be made on any weighing system that can bear the 'Legal for trade' mark.
The Periodic Verification is controlled by the Decree nr. 182 dated March 28th, 2000 issued by 'Ministero Attivitą Produttive' and aims to maintain the metrological reliability of the weighing system, in order to protect the user and the customer and preserve the public good faith.
